WINDSOR — It will be a full day of basketball on Saturday at Windsor High School with four North-South Seniors Games and the announcement of several awards and scholarships. The event is under the direction of the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association.
One of the most anticipated honors is the recognition of the Dream Dozen, the top players returning for the 20-15-16 season. These players, as voted by the coaches, will be introduced during the day.
Since CVU and Essex have not yet played the Division I girls championship game, the Dreams Dozen for Division I and II girls will be announced later.
Here is the Dream Dozen to be recognized on Saturday:
Division III/IV girls: West Rutland’s Brooke Raiche, Whitchester’s Phoebe Parrish and Lindsey LaPerle, Enosburg’s Emilee Bose, Proctor’s Abby McKearin, Williamstown’s Jayme Ducharme, Windsor’s Ashleay Wilcox, Danville’s Britani Buck, MSJ’s Jenna Eaton and Monica Schmelzenbach, Sharon Academy’s Mallory Lord and Chelsea’s Sydnie Allen.
Division III/IV boys: Winooski’s Eddy Lamson and Jibril Abdullahi, Windsor’s Mike Bradley, Hazen’s Jake Gilcris, Williamstown’s Brandon Carrier, Randolph’s Nathan Gray, Craftsbury’s Austin Masi, Proctor’s Nick Swane, Twin Valley’s D.J. Lazelle, Lake Region’s Austin Roberge and Green Mountain’s Copper McCoy.
Division I/II boys: Rice’s Kendrick Gray and Ben Shungu, Rutland’s Nathaniel Kingsley and Kyle Cassarino, Enosburg’s Calvin Carter, Fair Haven’s Lucas Czarnecki, Burlington’s Josh Hale, Burlington’s Josh Hale and Adam Mostarlic, Mill River’s Mike Morgan, Essex’s Eli DeGrande, Mount Anthony’s Damon Burgess and Hartford’s Bryce Landon.
